The historical places of Sylhet

Sylet is Situated in the north-eastern part of Bangladesh.It has great attraction for the tourists.There are abundant historical places in Sylet.It was ruled by local chieftains before the conquest by the Muslims. May be it was the time in 1303, the great Saint Hazrat Shah Jalal came to Sylhet from Delhi with a group of 360 disciples so that they could  preach Islam and they defeated the then Raja Gour Gobinda. Thus Sylhet became a district of saints, shrines. Sylhet is the tea granary of Bangladesh.It has more than 150 tea gardens. It also proudly possesses three largest tea gardens in the world.
