The historical places of chittagong

Chittagong is a land of history.there are lots of historical places in chittagong and the war cemetery is one of them.The War Cemetery situated on Badshah Mia Road is a place of historic interest. There are graves of 755 soldiers of the Allied Forces who laid down their lives during World War II. Most of the soldiers which were buried there were from Australia, Britain, Canada, East and West Africa, British India and New Zealand. The whole area of the cemetery is eight acres and it is preserved and maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The expense of maintaining the cemetery is done by a british organization.It is a restricted area.NO one can enter any time there.people can enter from 10.00 to1.30 p.m and 2.00 to 5.00pm.All of you are invited to watch the calm and quiet beauty of The  War Cemetery
